English Authors who wish to present in English should submit their abstracts via the English submission page at the bottom of this page.
Japanese Authors who wish to present in Japanese should submit via the Japanese submission page.

Presentation Style

Accepted abstracts will be assigned to either an oral or poster presentation at the discretion of the Meeting Chair.

Ways of Presentation

Submission Guidelines

1. Application Requirements

The first author must be a member of the Japanese Society for Pediatric Endocrinology (JSPE; annual membership fee for 2025 must be paid) or be in the process of applying for membership at the time of abstract submission.
Non-members must apply for membership simultaneously with abstract submission.
However, applicants from overseas, students (excluding graduate students) ,or post-graduate clinical residents (until the second year), are not required to be members of the Japanese Society for Pediatric Endocrinology to submit as a first author.

If you have 21 or more authors, please submit online and send an email to the meeting secretariat of the 59th JSPE as follows.

  1. Please submit up to 20 authors on the abstract submission page.
  2. Please write your login ID, the names of the 21th and subsequent authors, the number of an institution, and whether or not he or she is a presenter in a word file and send it to the meeting secretariat of the 59th JSPE via email (jspe59@orbit-cs.net) by the deadline for abstract submission.
  3. Submissions will not be accepted after the deadline.

If you have 16 or more institutions, please register them as follows and send an email to the meeting secretariat of the 59th JSPE.

  1. Register up to 15 institutions on the abstract submission screen.
  2. Please write your login ID, the names of the 16th and subsequent institutions, and the names of authors affiliated with the corresponding institutions (if there are multiple institutions, please include the institution number and write it clearly) in a word file and send it to the meeting secretariat of the 59th JSPE via email (jspe59@orbit-cs.net) by the deadline for abstract submission.

If the number of authors, institutions, or other items exceeds the recommended maximum, the allowable word count for the abstract may be reduced accordingly. Please note this in advance.


3. Use of Generative AI in Abstract Creation and Presentations at Annual Scientific Meeting of the JSPE

  1. The use of generative AI for the creation of abstracts and presentations in the meeting is permitted.
  2. The use of generative AI must comply with the following rules:

<At the Time of Abstract Submission>

  1. Please declare whether generative AI was used.
  2. Please confirm that the presenter takes full responsibility for the presentation content, including parts created using generative AI (including accuracy, protection of personal information, and copyright issues).

<At the Time of Presentation>

  1. Clearly indicate the parts created using generative AI (e.g., chart creation, data analysis) and specify the tools used on slides or posters.
    *There is no need to specify the version of the tools used.

  • This presentation corresponds to a subject that requires the approval by an ethical review board.
  • Approved by an ethical review board.
  • Obtain ethical review approval at least one month prior to presentation.
  • This presentation does not correspond to a subject that requires the approval by an ethical review board.
  • Case report
  • Others (research such as animal experiments that do not involve human subjects, research that uses only widely used cell lines, research that only analyzes papers and published databases, etc.)

5. Disclosure of Potential Conflicts of Interest

5-1) Significance of Conflict of Interest Disclosure

Having a conflict of interest is not in itself condemned.
However, if a researcher has a conflict of interest that is not declared or disclosed, the neutrality of the research results and social credibility of the researcher may be compromised, and this may be problematic. Please be sure to disclose accurate information when reporting conflicts of interest in accordance with the following rules.

5-2) Rules of Conflict of Interest Disclosure

All authors must disclose any financial relationships with commercial entities related to medical research within the past three years from the date of abstract submission, in accordance with Articles 5 and 6 of the JSPE Conflict of Interest (COI) Policy.
Please review the relevant policy and indicate whether or not a conflict of interest exists at the time of abstract submission.

  • The meeting secretariat of the 59th JSPE will add the status of your COI to the end of your abstract depending on your selection of COI.
  • Please disclose the conflicts of interest of all first authors and co-presenters on the second slide of your presentation (after the title slide).
  • A sample slide form will be posted on this website at a later date.

6. Three items to be selected at the time of abstract submission

6-1) Applicants Category

5. Rapid Communication

◆ Rapid Communication Session (New Session)

The Rapid Communication Session is a newly established session at the 59th Annual Meeting.
The aim of this session is to share novel and timely research findings widely and to promote active discussion among researchers.

We welcome submissions for studies such as:
 - Novel and timely research
- Interim reports of ongoing studies
- Small-scale analyses or exploratory research
Abstracts will be evaluated based on the completeness of the study, as well as the novelty and originality of the idea, and its clinical or academic significance.
The session will be structured to encourage interactive discussions between researchers and senior experts in the field.
Presentations will primarily be in poster format, but a limited number of accepted abstracts may be selected for short oral presentations.
Authors who wish to submit to the Rapid Communication Session should select 'Rapid Communication' under 'Session Category' during the abstract submission process.

6-3) Abstract Category

Choose one from the following options.
There is a first choice (Required) and a second choice (Optional).

7. Best Presentation Award, Young Presenter Award

7-1) Eligible abstracts and other conditions

  • Only unpublished abstracts or abstracts that have been published after September 1, 2025, are eligible.
    Abstracts that have been published (including in press) before August 31, 2025, are not eligible.
  • Only members of the Japanese Society for Pediatric Endocrinology are eligible for the award.
  • In case you are selected as the top 20 candidates, you have to submit proceedings(about 800 words or less).Please note that the submission period is scheduled to be from late June to early July.
    •  All proceedings will be published in the abstract book.
    •  Ten candidates will be selected from the top 20, and they are required to make a presentation in the meeting as a candidate for the award.

 * After the presentation, the award winners will be selected and presented at the general meeting.

 * Abstracts submitted for case reports will also be considered for selection.

7-2) Conditions and number of recipients of the Best Presentation Award

  • The award will be presented to the first author of the best presentation during the fiscal year.
     (In principle, one recipient; however, up to two recipients may be selected.)
  • There are no restrictions on age, place of research, number of times the person has been awarded, etc.

7-3) Conditions and number of recipients of the Young Presenter Award

  • The award will be presented to two authors who have made outstanding presentations as the first author on research conducted in Japan during the relevant year. In principle, one winner will be selected from each of the basic and clinical categories, but up to two winners will be selected from either the basic or clinical categories, as long as they are appropriate for the award. A maximum of three people may be awarded.
  • Applicants must be under 40 years old as of April 1, 2026 (i.e., born on or after April 2, 1986).
  • Applicants must enter their date of birth at the time of submission.
  • Each presenter can receive a maximum of two times.

8. Abstract Format

As a general rule, the body of the abstract should be written with the following titles.

9. The responsibility of correctness/ Modifications

  • Any corrections to your abstract will be made on your own responsibility.
  • Submitted abstracts will not be edited or proof-read before printing. The first/presenting authors are responsible for his/her abstract.
  • After submitting your presentation, please keep a printout of the confirmation screen for your records.
  • After the submission period, change of abstract and addition and/or change of authors cannot be made. Please make sure all authors are entered.

10. Notification of submission and Review

  • After the abstract submission is complete, you will automatically receive a notification at the e-mail address you entered. Please be sure to confirm your submission by using your login ID and password on the modification page.
  • If you do not receive a notification, the e-mail address you submitted may have been incorrectly written.
  • If you do not receive the confirmation email, your submission may not have been completed. Please contact the secretariat.
  • Notification of acceptance or rejection of abstracts will be sent in early August.
  • The acceptance or rejection of abstracts and the date and time of presentation will be determined by the Meeting Chair.
  • It is the applicant's responsibility to provide a usable e-mail address of the first author. (Please do not use a smartphone or mobile phone email address.)

11. Password and login ID

  • You need to decide your password when you submit your abstract. Please set a password consisting of 6 to 8 alphanumeric characters.
  • A login ID will be issued automatically when the abstract submission is completed. By entering your login ID and password, you will be able to check, modify, or correct your abstract as many times as you like during the abstract submission period. We recommend that you write down your login ID and password or print out the confirmation screen and save it. This is also required when inquiring about the acceptance or rejection of abstracts.

12. System Requirements

  • The abstract submission system has been tested with the latest versions of Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, and Safari.
  • Please ensure that your browser is updated to the most recent version before use.

* After submission, revisions may be made as many times as necessary until the submission deadline.

* Please note that once all required fields have been completed, the submission can be saved even if the content is still provisional.
